WHY: This course provides an overview of the
governance requirements and best practices for Certified Development Companies
(CDCs) participating in the SBA 504 Loan program. Participants will learn about
the history and functions of the SBA, the regulatory expectations for CDCs, and
the essential governance practices to ensure compliance and effective
management. This course is a must for CDC Management and Board Members, and it
assists in fulfilling SBA’s board training requirements on Title 13 CFR Section
120.823 (CDC Board of Directors).
