Heather McNelis is NADCO's Director of Marketing Communications. She most recently served as the Director of Media & Marketing at eAdvantage, a U.S. government contractor. In this position she led media and messaging efforts for the "VA Accelerator” program, an online blended learning environment for U.S. military veteran entrepreneurs. Ms. McNelis graduated in three years magna cum laude from James Madison University with a double major that encompassed corporate communications, public relations, technical editing, mixed media and design. While at JMU, she edited official university policy and designed newsletters for the University’s Research and Compliance Department. Ms. McNelis also served as a staff writer for JMU's student newspaper, The Breeze, where she reported on university cultural activities.

Claire O’Rourke is NADCO’s Director of Government Relations and Grassroots Campaigns, leading the government affairs efforts in Congress, in the administration, and in the states. Prior to joining NADCO, Ms. O’Rourke worked for the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, former Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She is originally from Virginia and received her bachelor’s degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
Rhonda Pointon, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Training & Support
Rhonda Pointon joined the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, Training & Support in March, 2013. In her position at NADCO, Ms. Pointon spearheads regulatory affairs, representing the organization before SBA and other federal agencies. Ms. Pointon is an accomplished leader with over twenty-three years of experience in the banking and finance industries with a focus on SBA and commercial lending. Prior to NADCO, Ms. Pointon served as part of the executive management team of Congressional Bank as a Senior Vice President. She also spent seven years as a Business Development Officer/Lender with Business Finance Group, a Certified Development Company in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Earlier, Ms. Pointon worked for Central Fidelity Bank, now Wachovia. Rhonda earned her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Denise Ripley is NADCO's Director of Regulatory Affairs, Training & Support. Ms. Ripley joined NADCO from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of Credit Risk Management, where she worked for Director Brent Ciurlino, the agency’s regulatory chief. Ms. Ripley brings broad knowledge of the SBA to NADCO, the trade industry for SBA loan facilitators known as Certified Development Companies which deliver small business loans including the Real Estate Advantage (504) Loan (REAL) commercial real-estate finance loan and working capital loans known as Community Advantage. Ms. Ripley previously worked for The UPS Store and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Towson University.

Ms. Robertson joins NADCO from the Navy League, where as Vice President, Meetings and Events, she led conferences drawing upwards of 12,000 registrants and over 200 exhibiting companies annually. Prior to that, she was Senior Conference Planning and Sales Manager of the Aramark-AED Conference Center, hosting federal and business events including White House and Cabinet officials. Ms. Robertson was the top revenue generator in the organization. She earned her bachelor’s degree and received an MBA from James Madison University.
