COURSE SUMMARY: The training provides a broad overview of a CDC's 504 loan servicing and portfolio administration responsibilities. Course participants will gain an understanding of SBA expectations and requirements, loan monitoring, routine serving actions and working with the loan servicing Centers.

This is a pre-recorded online training seven video series that runs approximately 3 hours 58 minutes. The recordings can be paused and watched as many times as the user wishes. In addition to the recordings, students have access to the slide decks presented.
PREREQUISITE: “Introduction to SBA 504” (online via NADCO University) OR six-months’ experience in a substantive capacity (e.g., loan officer) for a CDC.
INSTRUCTORS:
Cynthia Basco, Vice President, Servicing Manager, TMC Financing (TMC)
Cynthia has been with TMC Financing, a CDC located in Oakland, California, for 24 years. She currently manages a large portfolio of 2,557 loans totaling over $2.1 Billion, and facilitates all aspects of collections, compliance, basic and intensive servicing actions and liquidations. Cynthia has served as a co-instructor for Basic and Advanced Servicing Courses for NADCO. She takes great pride in mentoring her team and assisting the small business community.
Heather Newgreen, Portfolio Manager, Business Expansion Funding Corporation (BEFCOR)
Heather has been with BEFCOR, a CDC and CDFI located in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 17 years. She currently manages a mid-size portfolio of 550 loans totaling $340,000,000 and facilitates all intensive servicing actions and liquidations. Heather has served as a speaker for various other NADCO servicing/portfolio panels and is also a member of the NADCO CSA User Committee. As a senior member of her CDC, Heather enjoys all aspects of helping small businesses, and is always eager to support colleagues in the small business lending community.
