Description:
The second online training session of NADCO’s Credit Risk Institute: "Accounting Principles for CDC Analysts” will provide a basic understanding of relevant accounting principles and methodology underlying financial statement preparation. The
course will first define and discuss the "Generally Accepted Accounting Principles” ("GAAP”), which govern accountants’ preparation of financial statements. A comprehensive discussion of GAAP is beyond the scope of this course; however, analysts
will gain a basic understanding of the underlying assumptions and principles of GAAP, that will enable better assessments of "financial statement risk”. Understanding GAAP-based financial statements will enable analysts to do more effective
and comprehensive cash flow analysis. This more comprehensive analysis is accomplished through "Sources and Uses of Funds” analysis, which is a fundamental element of the "Statement of Cash Flows”. Both "Sources and Uses of Funds” analysis
and "Statement of Cash Flows” are covered in this course.
This is a pre-recorded online training session with slide presentation available. In order to receive credit, students are required to register for the online training session, view the presentation and complete a post-presentation quiz.
Please note: This course is considered a pre-course study for the Full NADCO Credit Risk Institute course and the video for this course is included in the the full NADCO Credit Risk Institute course. You do not need to
purchase it separately if you are taking the full NADCO Credit Risk Institute course. However, If you previously purchased any of these 3 pre-courses separately and decide to take the full NCRI course at a later date, NADCO will not refund
the purchase price of these individual pre-courses once you purchase the full NCRI course.
