Danny Mangum Danny Mangum, President and Chief Operating Officer for MWSBF brings nearly two decades of small business lending experience to the Mountain West executive team.
He joined MWSBF in 2010 as a V.P./Loan Officer with specific oversight for Northern Utah before joining the management team as EVP/COO in 2020. Prior to the CDC life, Danny spent three years working for Zions Bank in their National Real Estate Group: first as a Senior Credit Analyst, then as a commercial loan servicing officer and loan officer.
Danny serves as a current board member for the Utah Small Business Loan Fund, has participated in various NADCO trainings and breakouts, and has been a Business Engagement Committee Member of the Utah Black Chamber since 2019.
He served as the Risk Management Association Salt Lake Chapter President (2018) and Vice President (2017). From 2000 - 2012, he sat on the Board of Directors for the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum as their Development Committee Chair.
Danny was also honored as winner of the Utah PTA Engagement Award for his work on the National “Tackle Hunger/Souper Bowl of Caring” initiative to help support students and families with food insecurity in Utah’s Granite School District.
Danny has a Masters in Organizational Behavior from Utah State University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Utah. He enjoys traveling with his wife, and his two busy teenagers (when their schedules permit), cheering for all Utah athletics, snow skiing, golfing, lifting heavy things, Peloton rides and so many other live and televised “sportsball” events there’s not enough room to list them all in his bio.
