William "Bill" Habermeyer
William “Bill” Habermeyer is the President and CEO of Florida Business Development Corporation (FBDC), reporting to the organization’s Board of Directors. FBDC is a multi-state Certified Development Company (CDC) that operates in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. FBDC administers the SBA 504 Loan Program and is consistently one of the most active CDCs in the country. FBDC is also a is Community Advantage lender in addition having a direct lending platform.
Bill is based in Tampa office (FBDC’s headquarters) and is responsible for all aspects of the company. Prior to his current appointment by the Board, Bill was overseeing all production offices as the Chief Sales Officer.
Bill joined FBDC in 2006 as a Vice President, Business Development Officer where he opened operations in the Tampa (West Florida) Region. In just 3 short years, Bill’s efforts earned them the title of West Florida SBA Market Leader.
Prior to FBDC, Bill worked as an analyst and commercial lending officer for First Commercial Bank of Florida in Orlando, FL. Bill is a graduate of Wittenberg University (BA Management) and a post graduate MBA (Finance) from Rollins College. Bill currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) and on the advisory board for Embarq Collective a tech incubator based in Tampa, FL.
