Mike Matousek

Mike joined BrightBridge Capital in November 2021 as Senior Loan Officer overseeing the 504 and Community Advantage loan programs. He came to BrightBridge from BancorpSouth, where he was a Commercial Relationship Manager serving clients in the Greater Chattanooga area.

Mike considers East Tennessee and the Appalachian foothills to be home, although he did graduate from Clemson University magna cum laude in 2007 with a BS in Economics. He began his career in financial services in 2009, graduating from BB&T’s Leadership Development Program. At BB&T, Mike held a series of roles in credit administration, including leadership of the Tennessee Region’s credit delivery team where he was responsible for the credit quality and portfolio management of the bank’s $2+ billion commercial loan portfolio in the state. He has also worked for Pinnacle Bank and served as the Chief Financial Officer for a group of companies in the construction industry before joining BancorpSouth.

Mike is an avid adventure motorcyclist and has ridden from Key West, FL to the Arctic Circle in Alaska in a single trip.

Brightbridge has been the top CDC in the state for 504 loan dollars and volume for the past 13 years.
