INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION
Briana RickertsenBriana Rickertsen started her career at B:Side Capital (formerly Colorado Lending Source) in 2012 and currently serves as the Production Manager for the Small Business Administration (SBA) lending team. She is truly an expert in her field and has personally handled over 560 SBA loan approvals, helping to create over 2,000 jobs. (This includes SBA 504, SBA 7(a), and Paycheck Protection Program loans.) B:Side Capital and B:Side Fund, two organizations under one unifying brand, are committed to fostering the economic growth of diverse small businesses; Briana goes above and beyond each and every day in support of B:Side’s mission ensuring that businesses have access to responsible capital that would otherwise be unavailable.
Evan Shaw
Evan Shaw has spent his entire professional career—and over half his life—working in the SBA 504 industry. He currently serves as a Senior Consultant at Guidehouse supporting the SBA 504 Central Servicing Agent contract. Prior to his current role, he worked at Business Finance Group Inc., a CDC that serves Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia. He was initially exposed to loan files at the CDC in 2002 through an internship while attending George Mason University and was subsequently hired as a Credit Analyst after graduation. He eventually took over management of the underwriting and processing functions and served as the CDC’s Chief Credit Officer for five years before moving on to his current role at Guidehouse in early 2022.
Miriam Voigt
Miriam Voigt currently serves as a Managing Consultant at Guidehouse supporting the SBA 504 CSA and the SBA 7a FTA contracts. Prior to Guidehouse, Miriam worked for CDC Small Business Finance Corp for almost 29 years working with the SBA 504 and 7a loan programs. For 19 years she was involved in Processing and Closing SBA 504 loans. She also managed an entire closing department and has expressed more than once her passion for 504 closings. The last 10 years at CDC, Miriam was the Director of Sales and Support for Ventures Lending Technologies supporting almost every CDC in the country with their 504 technology needs.
