NADCO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The NADCO Scholarship Program is designed to create opportunities for as many CDC employees as possible to access education, training and industry events.

What:

  • Up to ten (10) scholarships for individual registrations will be awarded for the 2023 NOW Conference in New Orleans
  • The selected recipients will receive a registration fee waiver for just the main registration
  • The scholarship covers only the cost of the conference registration fee
  • The Specialty Workshop and additional training courses are not covered by the scholarship and must be added to the registration at the cost of the attendee
  • The scholarship does NOT cover hotel, travel, or per diem expenses
  • Recipients are required to stay in the NADCO hotel block
  • All scholarship requests must come from CDCs that are current NADCO members
  • NADCO will only award one scholarship per CDC.

Who is Eligible:

The scholarships are intended for employees at CDCs that would not otherwise send someone due to financial restrictions. CDC employees that match this description are encouraged to apply for one of the scholarship awards. All information is kept confidential.

CDC employees might consider applying for the following reasons:
  • The cost of the registration is too much when combined with travel and hotel expenses
  • The CDC feels it's necessary to send an additional person, but can only afford one set of registration fees

How to Apply:

  • Download and complete the NADCO Scholarship Program application
  • Submit your completed application by September 12, 2023 via email to Mandy Robertson at mrobertson@nadco.org
  • NADCO staff will review the applications (keeping all information confidential) and respond by September 26, 2023
  • NADCO will continue accepting applications after the deadline only if we have not yet awarded all ten (10) scholarships
  • Applicants should NOT register for the conference; registrations will be processed by NADCO once the scholarships have been awarded

Important Information

  • This is an IN-PERSON conference (there is no virtual option)

Please understand that after the close of the housing block, NADCO is fully committed to the expenses of each person attending the conference. Any room cancellations after the housing block ends cannot be resold to other NADCO attendees and will count as attrition to NADCO. NADCO must balance the need to provide enough housing to accommodate all of our attendees without incurring attrition charges.
