NADCO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The NADCO Scholarship Program is designed to create opportunities for as many CDC employees as possible to access education, training, and industry events.
TWO GREAT SCHOLARSHIPS. ONE APPLICATION!
NADCO SCHOLARSHIP
- Up to five individuals will receive an in-person training scholarship annually
- Recipients receive a registration fee waiver for ONE course at NADCO’s annual In-Person Training event
- The scholarship does NOT cover hotel, travel, or per diem expenses
- Recipients are required to stay in the NADCO training hotel
- All scholarship applicants must be employed by a CDC that is a current NADCO member
- Only ONE applicant per CDC will be considered
- Recipients are required to complete a post-program survey to provide feedback about the value of the experience
MIKE VANCHIERE TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is funded by Mountain West Small Business Finance, in honor of long-time employee and NADCO training instructor, Mike Vanchiere. It was established by Mountain West Small Business Finance to honor Mike’s memory and perpetuate his contributions to the 504 world.Details:
- Two individuals will receive the scholarship each year
- Recipients receive
- A registration fee waiver for ONE course at NADCO’s annual In-Person Training event
- Roundtrip airfare up to $750
- Hotel stay (the night before class and each night of the class)
- Recipients are required to stay in the NADCO training hotel
- All scholarship applicants must be employed by a CDC that is a current NADCO member
- Only ONE applicant per CDC will be considered
- Recipients are required to complete a post-program survey to provide feedback about the value of the experience
WHO IS ELIGIBLE:
The NADCO Scholarship and the Mike Vanchiere Training Scholarship are for employees at CDCs that would not otherwise send someone due to financial restrictions. CDC employees that match this description are encouraged to apply for one of the scholarship awards. All information is kept confidential.Factors to consider to be eligible:
- CDCs with a greater financial need are more likely to qualify
- Financial need is assessed through factors in the 990 as well as other stated circumstances impacting financial ability
- The CDC finds that the cost of the tuition is too much when combined with travel and hotel expenses
- The CDC can only afford tuition for one attendee but has additional team members that would benefit from training
HOW TO APPLY - ONE APPLICATION FOR BOTH PROGRAMS
Just one application enters you into consideration for BOTH the NADCO Scholarship and the Mike Vanchiere Training Scholarship- Download and complete the NADCO Scholarship Program application
- Submit your completed application by January 22, 2025 via email to Mandy Robertson at mrobertson@nadco.org
- NADCO staff will review the applications (keeping all information confidential) and respond by February 3, 2025
- NADCO will continue accepting applications after the deadline only if we have not yet awarded all five scholarships
- APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT REGISTER FOR TRAINING; registrations will be processed by NADCO once the scholarships have been awarded

HOW TO REGISTER
Very Important:
- You MUST be logged into the NADCO website as the person signing up for the training when purchasing any courses.
- If you are registering multiple people from your office, you MUST log in separately as each person and log out in between.
- This is an IN-PERSON training event (there is no virtual option).
- All attendees must follow NADCO’s COVID protocol in order to attend. Visit the COVID page to find out more.
Step 2: Log into the NADCO website and select NADCO University from the main menu bar on the NADCO website or select the Register link on this site.
Step 3: Select Course Catalog once you are in our learning system, you want to select the Course Catalog tab on the menu bar.
Step 4: Go to Training Categories on the left hand side of the Course Catalog page.
Step 5: Select 2025 In-Person Training which is the first category listed. You will now see a list of all of the 2025 In-Person Training courses being offered.
Step 6: Click on Add to Cart next to the course you would like to purchase.
Step 7: Purchasing multiple courses? If so, once on the checkout page click the "CLICK HERE" link listed on the second line to add additional courses to your cart. You will have to do this step each time you want to add an additional course.
Step 8: Check out. Add your address and billing information and don't forget to hit "COMPLETE ORDER" at the bottom of the last page of the checkout process.

COVID POLICY
Our members’ health and safety is our number one priority and we understand that each person will take into consideration their own wellness when deciding whether to attend in-person.NADCO is following the latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance in regard to travel, group settings and holding safe conferences. NADCO will also adhere to all state, local and hotel guidelines. Requirements for attending are listed below and are subject to change should the CDC; federal, state, or local government; or the hotel change their policies prior to the start of, or during, the In-Person Training or Winter Board Meeting.
Here is the In-Person Training and Winter Board Meeting protocol, based on the most recent information from the CDC:
- Vaccination: NADCO will not require proof of vaccination for attendance at the In-Person Training or Winter Board Meeting.
- Liability: By attending, instructing at or participating in any and all Activities associated with the NADCO In-Person Training and Winter Board Meeting whether onsite at the hotel or offsite at other venues, you agree to the assumtion of risks associated with these events, absolve NADCO of liability and agree to the full disclaimer below.
- Masks: NADCO recommends that attendees in high-risk groups wear masks and practice social distancing when able to do so. It is highly advisable to wear masks during travel and in public transportation settings. The CDC recommends getting tested for COVID-19 after travel if your travel included situations with greater risk of exposure such as being in crowded places.
RISK AND LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
In consideration of your attendance and participation in the NADCO In-Person Training and/or Winter Board Meeting Events of the National Association of Development Companies and related activities (collectively, the “Activities”), You agree to and understand that you, do hereby forever release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the National Association of Development Companies, and its past, current, and future officers, directors, employees, members, volunteers, representatives, affiliates, agents, successors, and assigns (collectively, “NADCO”) from any and all damages, injuries, losses, liability, claims, causes of action, litigation, or demands, including but not limited to those for personal injury, sickness, or death, as well as property damages and expenses, of any nature whatsoever which may be incurred, directly or indirectly, now or in the future, in any way related to or connected with your participation in or attendance at the Activities, and any travel related thereto, to the fullest extent permitted by law.ASSUMPTION OF RISKS. You understand and acknowledge that some of the Activities and related travel involve, or may involve, contact with heat, humidity, cold, wind, precipitation, water, ice, or snow, dirt, rocks, and/or branches, physical exertion, physical impact, or that may involve activities off the ground are inherently high risk. You assume all responsibility and assume all risk associated with participation in the Activities and associated travel.
COVID-19 RELATED RISKS. You further understand that while NADCO has undertaken reasonable steps to lessen the risk of transmission of COVID-19 in connection with the Activities, NADCO is not responsible in any manner for any risks related to COVID-19 in connection with the Activities. You understand that the World Health Organization has classified the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic. You further understand that COVID-19 is a highly contagious and dangerous disease, and that contact with the virus that causes COVID-19 may result in significant personal injury or death. You are fully aware that participation in the Activities and related travel carries with it certain inherent risks related to COVID-19 transmission (“Inherent Risks”) that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid such risks. Inherent Risks may include, but are not limited to, (1) the risk of coming into close contact with individuals or objects that may be carrying COVID-19; (2) the risk of transmitting or contracting COVID-19, directly or indirectly, to or from other individuals; and (3) injuries and complications ranging in severity from minor to catastrophic, including death, resulting directly or indirectly from COVID-19 or the treatment thereof. You voluntarily accept and assume all risk of loss, personal injury, sickness, death, damage, and expense arising from such Inherent Risks.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refunds less a $75 processing fee are granted through 01/22/202550% refunds are granted 01/23/2025 through 02/14/2025
No refunds will be issued after 02/14/2025
No refunds are available after February 14, 2025. We will gladly transfer the registration to another individual if a refund is no longer possible. ALL cancellation, refund, and transfer requests must be submitted in writing via email to Mandy Robertson at mrobertson@nadco.org.
NADCO understands that there are circumstances outside of your control that prevent you from attending an event once registered, which is why we've done our best to craft an understanding and fair cancellation policy. Please understand that after the close of the housing block, NADCO is fully committed to the expenses of each person attending the conference. Any room cancellations after the housing block ends cannot be resold to other NADCO attendees and will count as attrition to NADCO. NADCO must balance the need to provide enough housing to accommodate all of our attendees without incurring attrition charges.
