WHAT TO EXPECT AT TRAINING

VACCINES, LIABILITY WAIVER AND MORE

NADCO is very excited to offer an In-Person Training week this year!

It has been a long journey of virtual conferences and limited networking opportunities and we are thrilled to be able to bring our industry back together with face to face networking and educational opportunities. While we are excited to have you join us in person, our members’ well-being and safety is still our number one priority and we understand that an in-person event might not be the best option for all of our members. NADCO is requiring that all attendees be vaccinated in order to attend the training courses and events. NADCO is also recommending that attendees in high-risk groups wear masks and practice social distancing when able to do so. NADCO and all of our training attendees will be required to abide by the following in order to attend our training program:
  1. All attendees must certify that they have been fully vaccinated - Individuals may attend the in-person event only if they certify that they have received at least two (2) inoculations of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, the second being no later than July 15, 2022; or, if they received the J&J vaccine, that they certify that they received at least one (1) vaccine on or before July 8, 2022. Booster shots are not required at this time.

All attendees, instructors and staff will be required to upload proof of vaccination through a HIPAA-compliant, third-party system prior to arriving on site. Any attendee who does not complete this step will not be allowed to participate in any in-person activities.

  2. All attendees must sign a liability waiver and assumption of risk. There are certain risks associated with COVID, travel and meeting in groups and therefore attendees must read the waiver, consider their risks, and sign and return the document to Mandy Robertson via email at mrobertson@nadco.org prior to attending the conference.

  3. All attendees must follow the current COVID Protocols in place at the Federal, State and Local levels (including hotel) at the time of the training program. These guidelines may include, but are not limited to, social distancing practices and mask mandates. Guidelines are subject to change up to the date of, or during, the event.

  4. Any attendee that exhibits any symptoms and/or receives a positive COVID test within 14 days of the conference is asked to remain at home and not attend the training program (registrations can be transferred to other members of the organization). Any attendee that is concerned that he/she/they may have been in contact with a COVID positive person is asked to notify NADCO by email to Mandy Robertson at mrobertson@nadco.org and then should follow the current CDC guidelines for individuals that may have had contact with a COVID posititve person.

CDC Guidelines for Travel After Suspected Contact with Someone Testing Positive for COVID
If you had close contact with a person with COVID-19 but are NOT recommended to quarantine...
  • Get tested at least 5 days after your last close contact. Make sure your test result is negative and you remain without symptoms before traveling.
    • If you had confirmed COVID-19 within the past 90 days, you do NOT need to get tested, but you should still follow all other recommendations (including getting tested if you develop COVID-19 symptoms).
  • If you travel during the 10 days after your last exposure, properly wear a well-fitting mask when you are around others for the entire duration of travel during the 10 days. If you are unable to wear a mask, you should not travel during the 10 days.

NADCO will consider requests for exemptions from this requirement for documented medical/disability reasons, or sincerely-held religious beliefs, so long as that request and appropriate supporting documentation is received by July 8, 2022.
  • Attendees who are not able to be vaccinated for a medical reason may seek a medical exemption and will be required to provide sufficient information to support the request as well as supporting documentation from a health care provider.
  • Attendees seeking a religious exemption will be required to provide sufficient information to support the request.
  • Requests for exemption must be submitted in writing via email to Mandy Robertson at mrobertson@nadco.org
If an exemption is granted, the attendee must provide a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours prior to the start of the event.
  • The following are acceptable as proof of a negative COVID-19 test result: Printed document (from the test provider or laboratory) OR an email or text message displayed on a phone from the test provider or laboratory.
