The 2017 Diamond Awards Series
The NADCO Diamond Awards Series is a series of awards presented at the NADCO Conferences used to acknowledge CDC excellence in the area of economic development. This year at the Spring Summit we are also recognizing the Small Business Borrowers for their commitment to enhancing their community. NADCO is recognizing the CDCs and their borrower with three awards at the Spring Summit. The awards are the Manufacturing Diamond Award, the Community Advantage Diamond Award, and the Job Creation Diamond Award. Please see below for specifications on the awards.Process
A council of representatives from outside organizations has been carefully selected to review the nominations and determine the winner of the award.
Timeline
3/27 - Nominations open
4/12 - Nominations close
4/13 - Committee begins reviewing nominations
5/8 - NADCO awards winners announced at the NADCO Spring Summit
Manufacturing Diamond Award
DescriptionThe Manufacturing Diamond Award will be awarded to the nominee CDC and Small Business with the most impactful SBA 504 manufacturing project.
Criteria and Assessment
Nominations will be judged anonymously (with identifying information removed) and rated by individuals from a qualified panel of judges on a 1-5 scale in the following areas:
- Small Business/Borrower need
- Small business story
- Community and economic impact
***Please note: Only one nomination per category per CDC will be accepted.***

In order to make a nomination, please visit the nomination form online here. Note that nominations will require the following:
- CDC name and contact information
- Up to 500 words words detailing the reason for nomination
- Optional: Supporting collateral material or media placements
