Rhonda Pointon, President and CEOEmail Rhonda(202) 349-0070 Rhonda Pointon is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO), executing the mission, strategies and objectives of the organization. She joined NADCO in March 2013, serving as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Training, representing industry priorities before the Small Business Administration (SBA), Congress and other federal agencies. Ms. Pointon serves on the board for NADCO and Development Company Funding Corp (DCFC) and on the Board of Managers for Development Company Finance LLC and Eagle Compliance, LLC. She is a forward-thinking leader in the association and finance industry, whose thirty-plus year career includes SBA programs, commercial and real estate lending, wealth management, commercial and retail banking. Prior to joining NADCO, Ms. Pointon was a member of the executive management team for a Greater Washington D.C. area Community Bank as Regional Retail Bank Manager and Senior Vice President of Business Development. She also spent seven years as a Business Development Officer/Lender with Business Finance Group, a Certified Development Company in the Greater Washington D.C. area, and fifteen years with Central Fidelity Bank, now Wells Fargo. Rhonda earned her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Bank Management. NADCO Staff (A-Z)Renèe Bender, Vice President, Government RelationsEmail Renèe(202) 349 0070 Renée Bender joins NADCO from the Small Business Administration (SBA), where she served as a Senior Advisor in the Office of Rural Affairs and focused on access to capital and federal, state, and local programs for businesses in rural America. She previously spent 12 years in the U.S. Senate, most recently as a Senior Professional Staff Member for Chairman Marco Rubio (R-FL) on the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. In her capacity on the Committee, Ms. Bender managed the SBA lending and investment portfolios, and was one of the primary drafters of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). She also served on the Committee under Chairman Jim Risch (R-ID). Ms. Bender previously worked in the office of Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY), where she handled small business, financial services, telecommunications, and appropriations issues. She started her career in the office of Senator Pete Domenici (R-NM). Renée is a native New Mexican and earned her B.A. from New Mexico State University in 2007. As a forward thinking brand and marketing strategist, she is the perfect fit to collaborate with NADCO to advance our mission. Her passion for storytelling and customer-centric approach has benefited many organizations. In particular, she has deep experience in the CDC industry. Her portfolio of work includes many successful initiatives designed to educate lenders, community partners, government representatives and small business owners about mission-driven lending while promoting the SBA 504 and Community Advantage programs. Denise Ripley, Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, Training & SupportEmail Denise(202) 349-0070 Denise Ripley is NADCO's Director of Regulatory Affairs, Training & Support. Ms. Ripley joined NADCO from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of Credit Risk Management, where she worked for Director Brent Ciurlino, the agency’s regulatory chief. Ms. Ripley brings broad knowledge of the SBA to NADCO, the trade industry for SBA loan facilitators known as Certified Development Companies which deliver small business loans including the Real Estate Advantage 504 Loan commercial real-estate finance loan and working capital loans known as Community Advantage. Ms. Ripley previously worked for The UPS Store and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Towson University. Mandy Robertson, SVP, Conferences & OperationsEmail Mandy(202) 349-0070 Ms. Robertson joins NADCO from the Navy League, where as Vice President, Meetings and Events, she led conferences drawing upwards of 12,000 registrants and over 200 exhibiting companies annually. Prior to that, she was Senior Conference Planning and Sales Manager of the Aramark-AED Conference Center, hosting federal and business events including White House and Cabinet officials. Ms. Robertson was the top revenue generator in the organization. She earned her bachelor’s degree and received an MBA from James Madison University. Evan Shaw, SVP, External AffairsEmail Evan(202) 349-0070 Evan Shaw joined the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) in August 2024 as Senior Vice President of External Affairs. Mr. Shaw has spent his entire professional career—and over half his life—working in the SBA 504 industry. He most recently served as a Managing Consultant at Guidehouse supporting the SBA’s 504 Central Servicing Agent and 7(a) Fiscal Transfer Agent contracts. He provided industry subject matter expertise to technology modernization projects, as well as Capital Access Financial System (CAFS) training and support to lenders and CDCs. Prior to joining Guidehouse Mr. Shaw worked at Business Finance Group Inc., a CDC that serves Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia. He was initially exposed to loan files at the CDC in 2002 through an internship while attending George Mason University and was subsequently hired as a Credit Analyst after graduating with a B.S. in Marketing. He eventually took over management of the underwriting and processing teams for five years serving as the CDC’s Chief Credit Officer before joining Guidehouse in early 2022. Over the years, Mr. Shaw has presented at numerous industry conference panels and breakout sessions; he is also a regular instructor of NADCO’s In Person SOP and Packaging classes. Wayne Williams, Executive Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and TrainingEmail Wayne(202) 349 0070 Wayne Williams joined the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) in April 2020 as Executive Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Training. Mr. Williams has over 33 years of experience in commercial banking and small business lending, including extensive expertise in SBA finance programs. Prior to joining NADCO, Mr. Williams served since 1997 as Senior Vice President and Senior Lending Officer for Business Finance Group, the #1 SBA 504 Certified Development Company in the Mid-Atlantic and a top 20 CDC nationally. Elected to the NADCO Board of Directors in 2015, Mr. Williams became a member of the Executive Committee in 2017 serving as Vice Chair of Regulatory Affairs. He most recently was Vice Chair of Governance. Mr. Williams is a national instructor for NADCO and a former instructor for the Risk Management Association and the American Institute of Banking. Earlier in his career, Mr. Williams served 10 years as a commercial loan officer for regional and national banks in Florida, North Carolina, and the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Wayne has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduate certificates from the Advanced Management Program of the North Carolina School of Banking and East Carolina University’s RMA Commercial Lending School. SBA’s Washington Metropolitan Area District Office recognized Wayne in 2009 as Financial Services Champion of the Year. |
