Semiannual Regulatory Agenda Now Available
U.S. SBA | 23 June 2015
On Thursday, June 18, 2015, SBA published their Semiannual Regulatory Agenda in the Federal Register (Vol. 80, No. 117). It includes a brief summary of all current and projected rulemakings of the SBA. The agenda includes:

Affiliation for Business Loan Programs and Surety Bond Guarantee Program – proposed rule to simplify the consideration of affiliates, which may own minority stakes in multiple businesses so that more businesses could be identified as “small” and therefore eligible for SBA financial assistance, expected to post for public comment July, 2015.

Loan Program Miscellaneous Amendments – minor modifications to the 504 Loan Program and governance rules for CDCs as a follow-on to the Final Rule, expected to post for public comment October, 2015.

Agent Revocation and Suspension Procedures – final rule that will include procedural changes to SBA’s process for revocation of the privilege of agents to conduct business with the Agency, expected to post November, 2015.

Small Business Size Standards: Alternative Size Standards for 7(a), 504, and Disaster Loan Programs – amendment to size eligibility criteria for business loans, community development loans, and economic injury disaster loans, expected to post for public comment November, 2015.

CDFI Fund to Hold National Listening Tour: “Framework for the Future”
CDFI Fund | 24 June 2015
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) announced today a national listening tour to solicit public opinion regarding a new strategic framework for the CDFI Fund. Specific topics will include program effectiveness, access, innovation and scaling, customer service, data, and blind spots. The CDFI Fund will use input from the sessions to help develop strategic objectives that will guide the CDFI Fund over the course of the next several years.  Click for dates and locations.
