David Main

Past Chair 


David Main is the President/CEO of the HCDC, Inc., a private not-for-profit economic development corporation, which he started in 1983. HCDC is a certified development company under the SBA 504 Loan Program and lender pursuant to the State of Ohio Regional 166 Loan Program. In 1989, Mr. Main developed the Hamilton County Business Center, a small business incubator and in 1992, he organized the Hamilton County Economic Development Office that is also administered by HCDC.

Mr. Main currently serves on the Board of Directors as Region V Director, and is a Past President and Treasurer of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO). He also has served as President of the Ohio Economic Development Association (OEDA).

Prior to founding HCDC, Main was an economic development professional with CityWide Development Corporation in Dayton, Ohio, served as legal advisor for the Department of Community Development in Rockford, Illinois, and commenced his economic/small business development career as the first Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Xenia.

Mr. Main holds Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Cincinnati.
