Region 7 Director / Past Chair
Zola is a graduate of William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri where she obtained a BA in Accounting and an MBA. In addition, Zola became a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional through The National Development Council (NDC). She joined the staff of (RMI) in 1983 when RMI became a Certified Development Company. Zola has been RMI’s Accountant, Economic Development Specialist and is currently the Director of Finance Programs, a position she has held for 22 years. Zola is responsible for the day to day operations of the CDC. The RMI staff services a 504 Loan Portfolio of 508 loans totaling $225 million. In addition to the 504 Loan Program, RMI administers four USDA IRP funds which total over $3 million; a Microloan Fund of nearly $1 million and the Small Business Revolving Loan Fund of $1 million.
Zola is a former Chairman of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO). Zola held the position of NADCO Region 7 Director for 10 years. Prior to her serving as Chair, Zola held the offices of VP-Communications; VP-Administration; VP-Congressional Relations; VP-Technical Issues; served on many NADCO Committees and has been a NADCO instructor for over 10 years.
Zola is a member of the Alpha Phi Social Sorority Alumni Chapter and has served as Chapter Advisor to her collegiate chapter. In addition, Zola is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she is the Special Music Coordinator. She enjoys reading, playing the piano and traveling with her husband and daughter, Kaitlyn.
