|C. Thompson (Tom) Harley practices law in Augusta, Georgia with the firm of Fletcher, Harley & Fletcher, LLP, concentrating in the areas of Business, Real Estate, and Employment Law.
He serves as counsel to businesses, professional practices (medicine, dental, engineering, and law), government agencies (school boards, regional commission and its formed certified development companies, and a hospital authority), and non-profit organizations.
He received his undergraduate degree (B.A. Political Science), and his law degree (J.D.) from the University of Georgia.
He is a certified and designated SBA closing attorney, admitted to practice and has appeared before the Superior Courts and other courts of law and equity in the State of Georgia, the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the State of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit (originally part of the Fifth Circuit).

In 2008, Tom received the Ninth Annual Justice Robert Benham Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Service presented by the State Bar of Georgia, for community service including chairing the local Salvation Army Advisory Board, chairing the Augusta Port Authority, serving as President of the Board of Trustees of the Augusta History Museum, co-founding the Augusta Invitational (Rowing) Regatta, serving as Trustee (now Emeritus) of Westminster Schools of Augusta, and participating in Leadership Augusta.
Tom’s bar related activities include serving as President of the Augusta Young Lawyer’s Club, serving the Augusta Bar Association as Treasurer, Board Member, Co-Chair of the Law Explorer’s Post, and Admission Committee Member.
