Patti has been in banking and finance for 32 years. She started working at Peoples National Bank while attending college at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. That experience grew to provide Patti with a broad background in consumer finance, bank operations, and auditing.
Patti later moved to the Seattle/Tacoma metropolitan area, continuing her development with management positions in training, auditing, human resources, and consumer and commercial banking. Her last two years were with U.S. Bank as a District Operations Manager in the Central Puget Sound market overseeing 18 retail and commercial locations.
In 2002, Patti transitioned her career from banking to the Certified Development Company industry as the Chief Operating Officer of Evergreen Community Development Association, which later changed its name to Evergreen Business Capital. She was named as President and CEO by Evergreen’s Board of Directors in 2013. Evergreen is one of the oldest CDC’s in the country, dating back to 1980, and the largest in Region X. Patti manages a 504 portfolio exceeding $500 million, a USDA IRP loan portfolio, a staff of 30 spread out over three states and 703,115 square miles (20% of the total US). Patti has worked to bring the SBA Community Advantage program to Evergreen since she has been on board as CEO in order to better serve the small businesses located in the underserved markets in Evergreen’s service area. Patti has worked on several NADCO (National Association of Development Companies) committees in the past, including SLPC, OCRM, Annual Meeting, and Annual Elections. She serves on the NAGGL (National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders) Region 10 committee and also serves on the SBDC (Small Business Development Centers) Advisory Board.
Patti has supported Evergreen’s economic development mission through her interaction with Economic Development Associations in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska and with Ventures, a CDFI and micro lender located in Seattle.
Patti studied Business and Finance at Central Washington University. She was instrumental in the creation of the Women in Banking Committee for the Puget Sound Chapter of Risk Management Association (RMA). She believes strongly in mentoring and developing future leaders through sharing her knowledge and experience. Patti resides in Seattle, Washington with her extended family and enjoys traveling, quilting, and the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.
