Presentation of the Non-504 CDC Project and Veteran-Owned 504 Diamond Awards

The 2017 NADCO Diamond Awards Series
The NADCO Diamond Award Series is presented to borrowers, CDC, and lenders who demonstrate excellence in the area of economic development using CDC lending programs. NADCO is recognizing the CDCs and their borrower with two awards at the 2017 Annual Meeting. The awards are the Best Non-504 CDC Project Diamond Award, and the Veteran-Owned 504 Diamond Award. Please see below for specifications on the awards.

9/7 - Nominations open
9/27 - Nominations close
10/18 - NADCO awards winners announced at the 2017 Annual Meeting

Nominations
In order to make a nomination, please visit the nomination form online here. Note that nominations will require the following:
  • CDC name and contact information
  • Borrower/partner organization information
  • Up to 500 words detailing the reason for nomination
  • Optional: Supporting collateral material or media placements (emailed to news@nadco.org)

***Please note: Only one nomination per category per CDC will be accepted. Projects that have received Diamond Awards in other categories at prior events are not eligible.***


Non-504 CDC Project Diamond Award

Description
The Best Non-504 CDC Project Diamond Award will be awarded to the nominee CDC (and if applicable an accompanying borrower or partner organization) for the most impactful loan or project in a local community.

Criteria and Assessment
The following criteria will be evaluated:
  • Community value achieved through CDC (or CDC and direct partner) efforts
  • Need of beneficiary (borrower or specific community)
  • Any supplemental materials provided

Veteran-Owned 504 Diamond Award

Description
The Veteran-Owned 504 Borrower Diamond Award will be awarded to the nominee CDC and veteran borrower with the best 504 loan story based on a set of criteria outlined below.

Criteria and Assessment
The following criteria will be evaluated:
  • Veteran-borrower background and story
  • Community impact of borrower or business
  • Any supplemental materials provided
