What things are there to do in the area?

Take a journey through the amazing culture, natural beauty and wide range of activities you’ll find in San Antonio. Whether you’re looking for family fun, a night out or a romantic weekend, a legendary experience awaits.

Are you interested in checking out some of the famous local ATTRACTIONS while you are in town? San Antonio boasts a wide range of after-meeting activities—a little something for everyone. Sure, most people have heard of the Alamo and the River Walk, but San Antonio is also home to five theme parks, 50+ golf courses, the oldest operating cathedral in the nation, the largest caverns in Texas, multiple art museums and an events calendar full of festivals, sporting events and performances.

Are you wondering how you're going to GET AROUND to all these great locations? Never fear! San Antonio's airport is only 8.5 miles from the downtown business district -- about a 15-minute drive -- which is unusual for a major metropolitan area. This means that once you land at the airport, you're just minutes from downtown and major resorts. And once you’re here, getting around is a snap thanks to our wide selection of transportation options, including the VIVA by VIA service, River Taxi, Cabs, Uber, and Lyft.

Perhaps you just have a little rumble in your tummy and need something more than honey to satisfy that hunger. There are RESTAURANTS of all shapes, sizes, cuisine and prices to whet the appetite of even the most discerning customer. San Antonio’s unique heritage and mix of cultures gave way to a culinary landscape that’s truly one-of-a-kind. While we’re famous for our signature Tex-Mex, you’ll also find traditional Mexican cuisine along with German, French, English and Italian eateries. And the venues are just as varied as the types of cuisine they serve. From white tablecloth to savory food trucks to genuine steakhouses and BBQ joints, there’s always something new and different to try. But if you’re looking for a staple, take a seat at one of the colorful, umbrella-topped tables along the River Walk and start with some tableside guacamole. And, of course, a margarita.

Do you have a wad of cash that is burning a hole in your pocket? What makes a city a top shopping destination? According to Forbes.com, it's "options, ease and affordability," and that esteemed publication places San Antonio in the top ten of America's 25 Best Cities for Shopping. You'll have lots of fun whether you're a bargain hunter, designer diva or window shopper. You should be able to enjoy a massive SHOPPING trip. Antiques, outlets and markets Oh MY!

Are you looking for a little bit of exercise while you see the sites? San Antonio has mapped out RUNS and BIKE RIDES to eliminate all the guess work!

And don't forget the family. San Antonio offers Spouse/Companion Tours to give you & your significant other a peek of what San Antonio has to offer.
