A key component of NADCO's mission is to provide education and training to Certified Development Company (CDC) members and affiliates. NADCO's 504 professional training courses help CDCs, their closing counsel and their partner financial institutions develop the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully deliver SBA 504 loan financing.
Training sessions are normally scheduled at least twice each year. There is a spring session that is always held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting and a second training session that is offered in the fall. If needed, a third session is scheduled during the summer.
NADCO's "core" course is "Introduction to SBA 504" which lays the groundwork for all the other courses. Students continue along specialty tracks developed for those who work to perform credit analysis, package, close, service or market 504 loans. All NADCO's courses are practical and not theoretical. Comprehensive manuals are incuded with each course, and registration fees compare very favorably to courses in similar industries.
NADCO's instructors are all experts in SBA 504 lending. They are executive directors and senior CDC staff from some of the nation's most successful CDCs. Additionally, the 504 loan closing training is presented by SBA 504 Designated closing counsel who work extensively in the program and can speak to the process.
